Sheila J. Starvish, Esq.

Sheila J. Starvish is a seasoned trial attorney with more than two decades of experience litigating complex, high-exposure healthcare cases. For over 20 years, she served as a partner at a prominent California defense firm, representing hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, and healthcare systems in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, elder and dependent adult abuse, and wrongful death matters. Since 2023, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to representing plaintiffs — patients and families whose lives have been profoundly impacted by preventable medical negligence and institutional neglect.

Sheila's practice focuses on medical malpractice, elder and dependent adult abuse and neglect, birth injury litigation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases. She brings a rare and formidable perspective to plaintiff advocacy. Having defended healthcare institutions for decades, Sheila understands how cases are evaluated behind closed doors — how liability exposure is assessed, how defense strategies are constructed, and how juries are analyzed. She leverages that insider knowledge to anticipate and neutralize defenses, expose systemic failures, and position cases for maximum leverage both in the courtroom and at the settlement table.

Sheila earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School and her undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach. She is an active member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Outside the courtroom, Sheila enjoys golfing with her husband, Dan, following her favorite sports teams, and spending time with their two rescue dogs, Ryder and Huckleberry.
