Richard D. McKie, Esq.

Mr. McKie graduated from Pepperdine School of Law, where he was a three-year recipient of a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During his time at Pepperdine, he earned a certificate from the top-ranked Straus Institute for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. McKie obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While at UCSB, he was a member of the school's Division One men's lacrosse team and graduated with Dean's Honors.

Mr. McKie has represented clients in nearly all areas of complex civil litigation, including professional liability, product liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, trucking and transportation, real estate transactions, employment law, and business litigation. For the majority of his career, Mr. McKie's legal practice has focused on high exposure matters in both State and Federal courts across the country. His early exposure to complex lawsuits ultimately drew him to the world of high-stakes litigation.

With extensive experience in complex civil litigation, Mr. McKie has represented both plaintiffs and defendants throughout all stages of litigation. This includes the pleading stage, discovery, negotiating settlements, arguing dispositive motions, and obtaining winning verdicts through both jury and bench trials.

Mr. McKie has been recognized by Super Lawyers as one of their “Rising Stars” for 2024 and 2026.
